For example, a permalink for a Markdown or Pug file will be processed by the template engine set in markdownTemplateEngine. Permalinks for HTML files will be processed by the template engine set in htmlTemplateEngine.

Not sure if this is the expected behavior, but if it is, it should be documented in Permalinks and in Template Languages.
