Most of Aleph One's key bindings can be customized; see Preferences > Controls > Configure Keys / Buttons. Other key bindings exist for lesser-used functions, or navigating the dialogs and menus; see the charts below. In the charts, Modifier means hold down one of the following:

Windows: Alt key, Windows logo key
Mac: Command key
Linux: Alt key, Meta key

Dialog keys

Certain dialog widgets respond to other key events; for instance, the Left and Right arrow keys change a slider's value.

In-game special keys

F1 decrease screen size
F2 increase screen size
F3 toggle high-resolution (software mode only)
F4 reset OpenGL textures (for debugging)
F5 chase cam switch sides (has no effect with default chase-cam settings)
F6 toggle chase cam
F7 toggle zoom mode
F8 toggle crosshairs
F9 take screenshot
F10 toggle position display (for debugging)
F11 decrease brightness (gamma)
F12 increase brightness
