Most Qualcomm Devices with their Firehose eMMC Programmers File can pull out every partition images using QFIL in .bin or .img Format on Windows (e.g. Userdata, System, Vendor, Boot.)
For Xperia Devices, Well it uses .sin for Partition Images and .ftf Format for Bundle Firmware. (.ta for DRMs)
It doesn't matter to extract the important files on Userdata on Windows, But it should be read its contents on EXT4 like Linux and able to restore the partition images back on Xperia Devices. (Just in case of flashing issues)
