Before I start working through the backlog of PRs, we need a green CI - and the easiest way to do that is by using a not-ancient version of rustc.
I don't expect this will be too controversial since 1.56 has been out for well over 2 years. It's also serde_derive's current MSRV. TBH I could probably go with a later version, but this should do for now.
