Do you know if there is any way to prevent Images.jl from recompiling after every switch between cmd-REPL and VS Code-REPL? This is very annoying :/

I've not done that so I haven't seen it. Is it just Images or basically anything?

It's mostly Images. But as I already found out, my whole Julia install seems to be crappy anyway (combining JuliaPro 1.1 and Julia 1.1 in .juliapro and .julia respectively). Thus I will remove them and install a cleaned up single version (probably Julia 1.2/3). I will close it for now and reopen it if it continues repeatedly compiling with only a single version.
