[ FEATURE REQUEST ] - Topic about common pitfalls in Hamster care #663
Comments
Hello @ElsenIsCute and thank you for suggestion! I feel like this could be a fun topic, which would fit to Natsuki's personality. As we know she loves to complain and defending something so important like cute hammies, while also to make sure their needs are meet sounds very fitting. We also planned to have her talk more about her passions in the future too, so that's convenient! Though after just releasing an update, we would like to take some time off before tackling the next one, thank you. |
Welp, I lost the password to my old account (I am the topic stater), lol. In any case, I ended up writing the topic myself, I'd appreciate feedback! |
Overview:
As a former-hamster owner, I see people doing the wrong things to care for their hamster all the time.
Must haves:
Have Natsuki complain about some of these concerns: Having too small of a cage for their hamster, when the BARE MINIMUM is 450 SQ inches, and even then that isn't enough for some hamsters. Another common pitfall is storing multiple hamsters in one cage, when Syrian and Chinese hamsters are generally solitary creatures and will be aggressive to one another, or how the bare minimum for bedding is 6 inches, as Hamsters are burrowers; Though the recommended amount is at least 10 inches. And of course there's hamster balls, which can be stressful for hamsters.
She could also talk about how it isn't that expensive to get a good big enclosure for your hamster, as there are cheap options such as using a DIY bin cage.
She should also reccomend you to do your own research into it too if you have a hamster, in order to ensure a safe and thriving life for your hamster.
Apologies if I have forgotten anything, as it's been quite a while since I've had a hamster and this is just all that I can remember. I think it could be a good topic for this mod.
Thank you all for reading!
