Smugboard ("this bot" or "me" or "we" or "us" or "our") collects a small amount of data when users ("users" or "you") use this bot through Discord. This Privacy Policy explains how it collects, uses, and safeguards this information. Because this is an open source project, it must be stated that this Privacy Policy strictly pertains to Smugboard (bot administered by me). Any other bots that use this repository may differ slightly from this Privacy Policy and are in no way connected with me. Please read this privacy policy carefully. If you do not agree with the terms, please do not access Discord servers with this bot ("participating servers").

When a Discord message of yours is interacted with by this bot ("reposted"), your Discord ID, last used Discord Username, last used Discord Tag, and message content of said Discord message is stored on our the servers.
Storing information regarding certain interacted with messages allows this bot to provide a smooth, efficient, and customized experience. Specifically we may use informaton collected about you via this bot to:
- Create a reaction post feed (known commonly as a "Starboard" or "posting channel") on participating Discord servers.
- Generate stats and data pertaining to messages that were interacted with that users on participating Discord servers can access.
Information collected may be visible in certain situations. Your information may be disclosed as follows:
When a message you posted is interacted with by this bot, it is collected and stored. This information is viewable by other users who interact with this bot and its API. For example, a user could fetch a leaderboard of users with the most reposted messages by this bot.
We use administrative, technical, and physical security measures to help protect your personal information. While we have taken reasonable steps to secure the personal information you provide to us, please be aware that despite our efforts, no security measures are perfect or impenetrable, and no method of data transmission can be guaranteed against any interception or other type of misuse. Any information disclosed online is vulnerable to interception and misuse by unauthorized parties. Therefore, we cannot guarantee complete security if you provide personal information.
Your information will never be sold to advertisers or third parties for any reason by us. Data stored is used for the purpose of this bot and any APIs connected to it.
You may at any time request deletion of your stored information. You may do this by messaging me (Rushnett) on participating servers and requesting deletion of your information. You may also create an Issue on this repository (https:/naeruru/starboard/issues). At the time of requesting, your Discord ID will be collected in order to look up and delete your stored content on our database (searchable by said Discord ID). However, some information will be retained in the participating Discord server (commonly known as the "posting channel").
