Well, mega's are a good way though. Better than trying to push the ancient sometimes. better safe than sorry. |
But how? I mean - whenever I play with these bots, they loose. |
The bots are dumb in some respect against specific enemy heroes. Perhaps it depends on who your enemies are and which heroes you happen to random from the ones coded. I loose maybe 10% of the time against default unfair bots (usually when they have an Axe or Lich, as my bots don't understand not to clump up together). |
With the latest code check-in the bots did pretty good in the first game I played against Unfair Default Bots. Won the game in under 30 min with Mega Creeps. Sniper was 17 - 1. Our team only lost one T1 tower. Perhaps it was just luck. Bots fair much much worse against invis heroes (like BH) and heroes that have AOE control (like Axe). Will work on that and the concepts of clustering and non-clustering together in clumps. |
@Nostrademous There's apparently going to be another tournament 2 weeks before the International, run by the same person as last time. |

Seems some folks held a bot tournament which I was not aware of while I was taking a short break. Extreme Push bot won.
I did a quick test to see how we perform against it (2 games).

I'm glad we won and competitive but the deaths clearly show we have some things to work on, primarily on pushing into a defended base. Most of "our" deaths come from pushing the final barracks to get mega's which we technically don't need.
