Perhaps they are already there but I couldn't find them, but it would nice to have averaging functions in a similar manner as the ∂x family.

There is the lerp functionality one can use to have linear interpolation in kernels (averaging) https://ptsolvers.github.io/Chmy.jl/dev/concepts/grid_operators/#Interpolation

Would be good to extend it to other types of averaging or interp and to also account for local max/min.
