We have a lot of great questions being asked in PostHog Users Slack, but unless you join Slack and use search, it's not easy to discover. (We also get asked questions in other places, too.)
It would be great to capture all this knowledge and make it searchable (and more importantly, indexable).
Possible solution
We have a rudimentary FAQ page, but could repurpose it to be a searchable, taggable repository of Q&A about everything PostHog.
Sources of questions/answers
If we ever want to semi-automate this, questions (and answers) would likely need to be cleaned up (for brevity, removing personal company info). It would be nice to be able to "tag" a question/thread that we can later find in an "inbox" to bulk update a bunch of questions at a more convenient time.
Slack
Maybe we can export/push threads to an inbox where we can clean up the question/answer using some kind of automation?
Example:
Papercups
I'm sure a good amount of support messages could be abstracted into issues. Maybe we can apply a tag which then runs an automation?
Roadmap for shipping this
v1, we can copy/paste questions into a new page and write up answers
v2, some sort of automation (outlined above) to make this process a little easier
v3, we could show avatars of the person answering the question (eg: Yakko), tied in with user profiles (which we're building now for Core team purposes)
v4, support asking a question right on our website, possibly tied in with creating a posthog.com community account

The goal of this discussion is to capture ideas (better than the ones here) before formalizing into an issue. These are just a few ideas, but I'm sure you all will have plenty more. Thoughts?
