Camera preview hangs depending on brighter light condition and higher resolution

First of all, thank you very much for developing the SimpleMobileTools, this is very much appreciated. ❤️

Simple-Camera: 5.1.3 from f-droid
Phone: Pixel 3
Android version: 10
Build number: QQ1A.200205.002

I noticed the camera preview is hanging/freezing when using higher resolution and bringing into view brighter areas starting with darker ones.

To make it better comprehensible, i did take two screen captures.

One where i turn the phone back camera view from darker to brighter areas with different resolutions.
Starting with 2592x1944 where no hanging occurs when moving, to 3200x2400 where hanging occurs when the area previewed is getting brighter.

And one where i only change the resolution and the phone is laying still but the preview area is showing a surface in bright sun light. Here the preview is clearly overexposed when switching to the higher resolution and to me it seems that autofocus is repeatedly trying to settle but it can not.
