  • I checked, but didn't find any duplicates (open OR closed) of this issue in the repo.
  • I have read the contribution guidelines given at https:/TeamNewPipe/NewPipe/blob/HEAD/.github/CONTRIBUTING.md.
  • This issue contains only one feature request. I will open one issue for every feature I want to request.

Describe the feature you want

The main problem is that navigating and watching more videos, especially in sequence, from your subscriptions or your favorite channels is more challenging than it has to be.

A use case: A user is subscribed to several news channels and wants to catch up on the morning news while they eat breakfast. As it is, you have to repeatedly navigate back to the subscriptions tab, instead of the videos being presented to you in your current view.

How will you/everyone benefit from this feature?

Adding more relevant content to the sidebar and possibly the tab at the bottom of the phone view will make the processes of watching videos smoother. YouTube works best when the user can move to their next intended video from their current video in a low-friction manner. Currently, you are required to navigate backwards before you navigate forwards again, instead of enjoying a sense of constant forward momentum like most streaming video applications.

So maybe, I wasn't clear. I'm not suggesting anything to do with the auto queue, or being able to queue up features, exactly.

What I'm suggesting, and trying to get across, is that I think would be more user friendly if the queue, like in the bottom screenshot, were only videos from the channel or only videos from our subscriptions. I think it should configurable.

Suggestions Queue Options:

  1. Default Behavior
  2. My Subscriptions (Newer to Older)
  3. My Subscriptions (Older to Newer)
  4. Channel Videos (Newer to Older)
  5. Channel Videos (Older to Newer)

The app presents the user with a list of videos, but I think the list of videos could be configurable.
