Cura Version

5.8.1

Operating System

Windows 11

Printer

Creality Ender 3 s-1 Pro

Reproduction steps

Sorry I am very new at 3d printing, and haven't encountered this error before. Any help would be very much appreciated

Set to set to default dynamic quality, with all other settings standard but the two below.
added basic autofilled supports
Added autofilled brim buildplate adhesion

I have run the file though an STL repairer and fixed 2 minor issues.

My Device Specs
Processor Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-14700K 3.40 GHz
Installed RAM 32.0 GB (31.8 GB usable)
GPU Sapphire Pure Radeon RX 7800 XT 16G OC Graphics Card
System type 64-bit operating system, x64-based processor

Actual results

When I attempt to slice I get this error message pop up after 2-3 seconds.
image

my computer has also crashed 2-3 times when attempting to slice.

I have checked my performance while slicing and memory rarely goes over 35% before it fails and/or crashed my computer.

Expected results

File is sliced

Thanks for the report.
I didn't find any errors in the model and it sliced for me with no problem. I sliced in on my Win10Pro laptop with an intel processor and 16mb of RAM.

You have included the "Cura.log.1" file. That is not the current log file but rather some sort of backup. Upload just the plain old "Cura.log" file. Someone from the Cura team will take a look.

When you do get it to slice I would suggest using the "Limit the XY Accel and Jerk" post processor. When you print a tall model that has limited contact with the build plate on a bed slinger printer, then as the model gets tall and the Y accel is high it can break the model loose from the build plate, or cause the model to wobble causing the layers to misalign. The post processor allows you to dial back the Y accel as the model grows. Slower is always better than scrap.
