[Enhancement]: In Library, option should allow if the book series is displayed as image of first book or a collage of images #3316
Comments
This would eliminate one of my favorite things about ABS after migrating from Plex! Plex uses a 4-up view like you're requesting, and it's terrible for any series that doesn't include at least four audiobooks. I would much rather see a variation on the series view used for playlists, personally, in which covers are added side-by-side, rather than in a grid. |
I understand what you are saying and agree that the view for viewing collections and series is much better that what is for playlists. The problem is that the Library is designed for the square covers of the audiobooks. Although that gives me an idea for a feature request.... [Enhancement]: View of Playlists should replicate view of both Series and Collections instead of the four-up view #3482 |

Describe the Feature/Enhancement
When you are looking at a library (e.g. Non-Fiction → Library) and you have Collapse Series enabled, combined series shows up with a number in the upper-right corner and the first book of the series shown. It would be nice to have a collage of images of several books in the series as a indicator as well, but it should be allowed or disallowed as a server option.
Why would this be helpful?
Series is already indicated by a number in the upper right corner, but it can sometimes be hidden away. A collage of images, similar to that already used for playlists, would be a extra visual clue.
