Selection of multiple alerts using standard keyboard and mouse operations

The Alerta UI does not allow the selection of multiple alerts using standard keyboard mouse operations

When using the Alerta UI I want to be able to select multiple alerts by clicking the checkbox on a single alert, moving the mouse to an alert lower in the list and Alt-clicking the lower alert checkbox (or some other key-Click combination).

I can see from other raised issues (e.g. Multi select range of alerts · Issue #242 · alerta/alerta-webui that there are workarounds for this by specifying a filter and performing a bulk operation based on the alerts returned by the filter, but that is fairly clunky when say I want to select a small group of alerts which may (or may not) be interspersed with other non-related alerts that I do not want to select.

I am using Alerta Web UI 8.7.0 from a Windows machine running a Citrix desktop.
