Closes #99

I have updated the article to add the template method and also chose to keep the original portable method as another option. In doing so I also reorganised the article to:

  • pull out the background information into an "Environment Basics" sections
  • added a tip alert at the front of each section to inform users about when they might choose/need to use that section.
  • removed redundant/outdated information.
