thingOS repository uses the following versioning format:
yyyy.mm.p
The yyyy.mm part represents the year and month of the corresponding BuildRoot release. The p is an incremental number representing the patch level and is not synchronized with the corresponding patch level of BuildRoot's version.
The release tags are formed as follows: version-${year}.${month}.${patch_level}.
