Kibana version: 7.10.0

Elasticsearch version: 7.10.0

Server OS version: N/A

Browser version: N/A

Browser OS version: N/A

Original install method (e.g. download page, yum, from source, etc.): Cloud

Describe the bug:
While using the new "Explore underlying data" feature from Dashboards:

  • When users add a filter directly on the Dashboard, it is correctly passed to the Discover page where they are redirected.
  • When users add a filter at the Visualization level, it is NOT passed to Discover.
The same thing goes for the filters applied directly in search bar.

According to the Documentation it should pass through all the filters from Visualizations:
When Kibana opens Discover, the index pattern, filters, query, and time range for the visualization continue to apply.
https://www.elastic.co/guide/en/kibana/master/explore-dashboard-data.html#explore-the-underlying-data

Steps to reproduce:

  1. Create a simple visualization with filter and search.
    image
  2. Add the visualization to a dashboard.
  3. When using “Explore underlying data” from the dashboard, the user is redirected to the Discover view without the internal filters of the visualization.

  4. After navigating back to the Dashboard, add a filter at Dashboard level. Use “Explore underlying data”, this time the Dashboard filters are applied but not the Visualization ones.

Expected behavior:
Steps 3 and 4 should also carry over the filters internally declared in the visualization.
