Steps to reproduce

  1. Install Matrix Docker
  2. Install Nginx-Proxy Docker
  3. Configure Nginx and make let's encrypt cert
  4. Tried to generate many different CERT

Outcome

Working on web https://riot.im/app/

Having problem with ssl error from the app, if i try a self-signed cert, I am able to login on the app, but the login is not working on the web and impossible to make videocall and audiocall woring, it stays IN CONNECTION, sometimes is connecting if i connect from the same network but it closes the videocall

P.S: I am using docker on RPI4, following this guide https://shownotes.opensourceisawesome.com/matrix-server-install-via-docker/

thanks for raising an issue 👍

somethings to double check

  • do you have the same issue when using matrix.org accounts?
  • does your homeserver have a TURN server running? (it'll need one to properly support external networks)

for the SSL certificate I would recommend trying to match to the matrix.org configuration
