Steps to reproduce

First of all, I can log in using the desktop web app, even with Safari on an iPhone, by going to https://element.io/get-started (because the Get Started button is actually not visible on an iPhone). However, if I try to use the app ....

  1. Start Element
  2. Change Home server
  3. Then try to enter a user name.

Using 1.8.14, just downloaded from the App Store.

Outcome

What did you expect?

That I can enter username/password and log in.

What happened instead?

  1. Before I even finish to enter my username, an error pops up: Request failed: unacceptable content-type: text/html.
  2. The username/password fields are now hidden until the app is restarted.

Hey, this is a duplicate of #3902. It isn't sovled yet but a workaround would be to use https://matrix.blom.org or enter username as @somebody:blom.org.

Thanks for the workaround and sorry for not finding the dupes before opening a new issue.
