The cap A is displaying with the overhang of the horizontal bar cutting into the sides of the A.

No problem in Safari 13.1.2, macOS 10.15.6.

Isit possible that the contour direction on the overlap is mixed, and setting the directions to be the same will help? Or making the overlap via components?
