Installation seems to fail on this line:

devtools::install_github('haven-jeon/NIADic/NIADic', build_vignettes = TRUE)

Seems to be a GH specific quirk. Not sure.

Apologies; I wasn't too clear on the repro steps. This seems to only happen when trying to install within RStudio (1.0.143). I tried reproducing it on a command line installation version of R and it worked fine there. Not entirely sure why, I'm suspecting Github sends a filename that isn't liked by the devtools installer.

Why this happens only on RStudio - I'm not entirely sure.

It's work on my RStudio machine. Could you check your default download method?

check with this https://support.rstudio.com/hc/en-us/articles/206827897-Secure-Package-Downloads-for-R
