When the 1st param is an array with file names, and the 2nd one is the dir to find those files, it will not work.

yup. that's how it works historically

target-dir is applied only to pakeFinder objects.
I'll see what can be done

Uhm, that broke usage of pake_replace_tokens ( 'filename', 'dir', .... )
