Question about one of the playlists #2440
Comments
undefined.m3u is a listing of all channels that have got their "tvg-country" attribute not filled or unknown. |
@trancer1994 All channels that still have no country are in the file |
@freearhey can you explain more? Our instructions say you add the country attribute and then you move the lines of code to the appropriate country in /channels. (which is what I have been doing) Do you have a script now that will move them automatically? If so, what happens if a region code is used or multiple countries are listed? |
@themak1985 No, the script does not move anything for the very reason that more than one country can be specified in the attribute. However, for a channel to disappear from the The thing is that the script looks through all the files in the |
In that case, here you are. I have done my best to sort all these channels properly. Pretty certain that one or two of these are duplicate listings, but I am using the undefined.m3u list from a few days back, as it took me a fair few days to get to this point (everything sorted, yay!). There is a section on this reply called "Please remove", this has channels with broken streams. "(doubtful)" underneath a channel's name in a certain country means I'm not sure whether or not it's from that country. Any corrections please let me know. The following channels in the undefined.m3u belong to Georgia: #EXTINF:-1 tvg-id="" tvg-name="" tvg-country="" tvg-language="" tvg-logo="" tvg-url="" group-title="",Канал 5 |

@trancer1994 If you want to help, please read the guide carefully and send us your pull request. There is no need to copy the links from the playlist into the comments. |
Sorry to comment on a closed issue but tried to start a pull request for the rest of the channels. What do I click if I want to put them in a certain country? It just comes up with a list of users in the base repository and no folders or anything, and I don't know what to do. |
@trancer1994 Don't worry, you can write comments everywhere, as long as they are on topic. As for how to add links to a particular playlist: you need to open the channels folder, find the file of the desired country in it, open it and then click edit. And then add all the links at the end of the file. Links in playlists are sorted automatically, so there is no need to do it manually. The main thing is to make sure that all links work and really broadcast from this country. The easiest way to do this is through lyngsat.com, where the country is listed directly in the channel description. I hope this helps. |
Does your script automatically recognise when links from one playlist have been also added to another? For instance, I made major edits to the US playlist last night, adding channels from the unsorted playlist, but because I copied the whole playlist to an offline source I don't know if it caught my changes. Basically a load of unsorted channels are now sorted but I'm not sure if the unsorted playlist reflects this. |
If a link is found in one of the playlists, it will automatically be removed from |
Does it suffice just to edit the files and hit propose changes or do I have to click Creat Pull Request on the next page as well? |
As I understand you have already figured it all out on your own) |
What's the undefined.m3u playlist? Is that where the channels with no country go? If so, I want to help, but want to ask exactly what it is before assisting any further.
I know this issue's blank but my question didn't fit any of the categories listed.
