syslog input does not lookup IP addresses #16

Thanks, I didn't know about the DNS filter. This feels like an inconsistency -- I have a range of inputs, and only my Is this worth fixing? If not, I'm happy to close. |

I've found that my logstash instance isn't doing reverse lookups for IP addresses if messages come in through the syslog input.
Have I configured it incorrectly, or is this a bug in logstash? My other inputs are happily converting IP addresses to hostnames.
