Mate-Screenshot does not retain clipboard after closing when making a screenshot of discord in window mode

Expected behaviour

Can paste image from the clipboard after screenshot application has been closed.
This affects only specific applications it seems, for example discord's desktop client.

Actual behaviour

Clipboard is empty after closing the screenshot application, pasting does nothing. Pasting works if it's still open (before clicking cancel).

Steps to reproduce the behaviour

1. Run discord and open it's window
2. Press screenshot active window shortcut (Alt+PrtScr) or run mate-screenshot -w -d 5 and switch to discord as the active window
3. Click "Copy to Clipboard"
4. Click "Cancel"
5. Try and paste image into gimp or anywhere else
6. ???
7. No profit.
