7. Competition Tasks

For the competition, our tasks consist of a couple things

• CV to detect colored shapes with a colored alphanumeric symbol on each
• CV to detect a mannequin
• releasing a payload onto a target within a radius of 20ft
• flying autonomously

Here are the possibilities for shapes, symbols, and colors:

• Shapes: circle, semicircle, quarter circle, triangle, rectangle, pentagon, star, and cross
• Uppercase alphanumeric symbols
• Colors: white, black, red, blue, green, purple, brown, and orange

Here are the specifics for the autonomous flight:

• Avoid obstacles during flight (other drones)
• Takeoff and land autonomously or manually
• Fly through a sequence of waypoints, getting within 25ft of each waypoint, that may be up to 3 miles in length and include up to 10 positions
• Fly an entire lap between each air drop attempt
