Reverts #582
The #582 PR has unwanted hardcoding, is missing subCategory and seems to be breaking Meshery Server builds, but may very well not be. It's unclear to me whether the syncmodutils or other function might be what is causing my go.mod to reset package version numbers under the
requirestanza in go.mod, specifically, thegithub.com/prometheus/client_golang v1.20.0togithub.com/prometheus/client_golang v1.20.2
