Calling Windows executables from WSL fails #7914

Repro Steps

  1. Run explorer.exe .

Expected Behavior

An explorer window opens based in current directory

Actual Behavior

Cannot open assembly '/mnt/c/Windows/explorer.exe': File does not contain a valid CIL image.

Closing this issue because I found out it was an unidentified bug in a program I use for WSL. Some changes in between 1.42 and 1.43 cause the above error once genie is started.
