Problem persists on 1.53.0. A little bit more information : VS Code is not installed, I use the zip download and delete all files in the folder when updating. User data is stored in its default location (using settings sync). |
Problem persists on 1.53.1. Another bit of additional info: it happens on both my PCs, both with a very similar setup. |
Problem persists on 1.53.2. |
Same for Windows 10 - version 1.54.0-insider |
Same problem for Windows 10 - 1.54.3 |
When I logged out of my Windows account and chose Github for my settings sync instead, the problem went away. |
It seems fixed as of now, with version 1.55.1. Settings sync keeps its logged-in state. |
This corresponds with an update we made to a library for storing secrets, so am going to close this as fixed. Thanks for your patience and updates. |
I'm facing this problem on my Linux machine. The issue persists even if I sign in with Github.

Steps to Reproduce:
Signing-in in itself seems fine, it's just that I have to do it again every time I start VS Code.
This might have started some time in the last couple of weeks when Microsoft sign-in had problems, but I am not sure.
Does this issue occur when all extensions are disabled?: Yes
