Does this issue occur when all extensions are disabled?: Yes

  • VS Code Version: 1.74.2
  • OS Version: Windows 11

Steps to Reproduce:

  1. Open the settings with workbench.action.openSettings
  2. Scroll down
  3. Click on checkboxes
  4. Notice that the scroll jumps, sometimes so much that the checkbox you just clicked on goes out of view.

Another way to repro the issue in the Settings editor:

  1. Modify a setting
  2. Click on any visible setting

Linux version affected too. X11 and Wayland.

Also, may be related bug - this can be randomly reproduced in editor with autocompletion formating trigger.
