Cannot submit late assignment for a student

It would be good if there was a way to upload a student submission for a student who had difficulty submitting. Right now there is no way to record any points for a student who failed to upload correctly.

I'm not sure I understand the issue exactly. Have you tried granting the student an extension, and/or masquerading as the student?

If you masquerade as the student 'you cannot view this type of element'. First thing I tried. No luck. Giving an extension wasn't viable or reliable because it was part of a timed exam so we would have had to delete the rest of their exam to give an extension after the fact.
