UBCG is a tool with very similar functionality. It uses a set of 91 genes. As all of those have corresponding TIGRFAM IDs it should be possible to provide an ubcg.hmm file in the data directory to use as an alternative of the default essential.hmm
It can be selected by setting the --hmmfile option accordingly.
Results of bcgTree and UBCG are then better comparable.
