just a placeholder for now. This issue is anticipated to turn into a thread, spawning issues to improve reviewer docs.

Currently missing in the docs:

  • is the submission structure correct?
  • are the data properly cached with repo2data? (data should be installed with repo2data and the logs should say already downloaded.
  • license of the data ok? -> needs to allow for redistribution e.g. CC license.
  • is the doi of the data provided, if available? -> if there is a doi such as zenodo or figshare, it should
  • versioning of the data -> download from a repo with version control
  • versioning of the software dependencies -> force specific version
  • check references resolve correctly inc DOIs
