rename-xfce-workspace

Rename the current workspace in Xfce, via a simple text box.

Requirements

You need the following installed

1. wmctrl (tested with 1.07)

2. zenity (tested with 3.6.0)

Installation

$ sudo cp rename-xfce-workspace /usr/bin

Usage

Just call

$ rename-xfce-workspace

without arguments. It will open up a text box where you can change the workspace name.

You can bind that program with a shortcut key using Xfce Keyboard settings panel to rename your workspace at lightening speed.
