Notes

The agenda comes from issues labelled with ctc-agenda across all of the repositories in the nodejs org. Please label any additional issues that should be on the agenda before the meeting starts.

Joining the meeting

Uberconference; participants should have the link & numbers, contact me if you don't.

Public participation

We will attempt to stream our Uberconference call straight to YouTube so anyone can listen to it live. If it works, then it should start playing at https://www.youtube.com/nodejs+foundation/live when we turn it on. There's usually a short cat-herding time at the start of the meeting and then occasionally we have some quick private business to attend to before we can start recording & streaming. So be patient and it should show up.

Many of us will be on IRC in #node-dev on Freenode if you'd like to interact, we have a Q/A session scheduled at the end of the meeting if you'd like us to discuss anything in particular. @nodejs/collaborators in particular if there's anything you need from the CTC that's not worth putting on as a separate agenda item, this is a good place for it.

nodejs/node-eps#3 should be decided on. Currently .mjs is the most logical extension choice. .jsm has permission escalation issues on Firefox when used in file:// (this is outlined in the EP).

I can't make it today, sorry.

The fix for #3021 landed today. It can likely be taken off the agenda.

I may try to dial in POTS-style but in case I can't make it, .mjs seems like a fine extension to me. I'm +1 on #6306, it annoys me no end there is no v5.x-staging branch. No strong opinion on #6063.

I'm at a IBM team all-hands so I can't make it this week.

If we are lacking a big enough quorum (not officially defined but ~ 2/3rds would be good) then we can avoid making any hard decisions so don't feel too bad about not being able to make it.

Would it be possible to get an official enough vote for the module EP extension in a thread? We've already agreed on using the extension, and would he good finishing up this last detail.

In the future we can use an IBM provided conf call number if everyone is good with getting the audio recording on audio cassette 🎱 O.o ;-)

+1, but only if we get RIck Astley on that audio cassette too ;-)

@rvagg with the +1 from @bnoordhuis does that reach quorum? [on module EPS moving to merged draft]
