Mapping Omeka S to DPLA
This document describes best practices for Hubs to aggregate resources from Omeka S Contributing Institutions, as defined in DPLA's Metadata Application Profile version 4.0.
Fields marked with "???" are inconclusive or up to the discretion of individual Hubs.
Omeka S items described by the default "Base Resource" resource template are compatible with dpla:SourceResource. We included the template to encourage users to describe their resources using a baseline of metadata standards. Even so, Hubs can aggregate any item so long as "Title" and "Rights" (the required properties) can be derived.

Omeka S media are attached to items and are compatible with edm:WebResource. Although Omeka S allows individual media to be richly described, DPLA does not provide mapping between web resources and edm:WebResource beyond the below properties.
