Describe your problem

Passwordless login has started to gain traction in B2C apps in the last couple of years. Users of social B2C apps are also used to being able to login with either their email or username. It seems like the passwordless code flow only supports the account email as an identifier at this point, but adding usernames as a possible identifier would be a good UX improvement.

Describe your ideal solution

Users should be able to enter their account username and get the OTP code on their verified email address

Workarounds or alternatives

Alternatively, if this could be implemented via a pre-login hook or other existing mechanism, an example in the documentation would be great.
