Paintbrush from Windows 3.0 and Windows 3.0a crashes on launch

When launching the PBRUSH.EXE executable the following messages will appear when clicking the Try Again or Continue buttons three times before closing:

First Try Again or Continue button click.
"Interrupt 0D #GP (1217:015C) flags 3246 err 0000mov es:[bx+si],ax"

Second Try Again or Continue button click.
"Interrupt 0D #GP (1217:015C) flags 3202 err 0000mov es:[bx+si],ax"

Third Try Again or Continue button click.
"Interrupt 0D #GP (1217:03333) flags 3256 err 0000cmp word ptr es:[bx+si], 0h"

The PBRUSH.EXE executable should launch like it normally does with the PBRUSH.EXE executable from any version of Windows 3.1x
