This PR removes the custom
checkpackage in favor ofassert/requirefrom https:/stretchr/testifyNote, we used got/want whereas testify uses want/got. I'll add a golangci linter for testify (https:/Antonboom/testifylint) so we're at least consistent moving forward
Fix #841
