This is specifically for the case of look ups done in the new resolver.

To recreate this, I'd need a mix of cached remote URLs, locally-built-and-cached wheels and resolver backtracking -- and I'm not sure how to do that within our test harness. :) |

Certainly looks better to me, and I agree that skipping tests seems OK. I'm not a fan of testing details of what we log anyway, it's too fragile. If we want to validate our reporting somehow, I think we need better tools than "just" tests - I don't know what (if any) techniques or best practices there are in this area, though, and that would be a whole other piece of work, IMO. |
