Change the default direction to vertical from horizontal

I used the flex-slider and it's working good, as i need the slides to roll in vertical. I changed the direction in flex-slider.js to vertical. But when i push the code to repo and cloned it back its acting horizontal. I need to fix it urgently. Any help
