The Japanese language OSPO Local Meetup quarterly report #5 (2024/1-3)

OSPO Local Meetups in Japanese are held twice a month in Japan.

This quarter, one hybrid meetup was held In-person at Cybertrust Office 29th February with 16 participants. The number of participants ranged from 6 to 16, so the in-person event was the biggest one (irregular time slot had small attendance).

This meetup was held as co-located event of OpenChain Japan WG All Member Meeting. And we had a discussion about introduction contents of OpenChain Japan WG OSPO sg (OSPO Local Meetup Japan) for Security Days event. Then we discussed about output format for our Strategy and Hosting activity.

First slot, we reviewed our hybrid event with over 35 persons just before OSSJ. In total, we thought that was a good opportunity to share our activity and have a good discussion with OSPOers from abroad.
Last slot, we discussed about output slide as an example for first dimention OSS service companies.

We discussed about "What is OSPO anyway?" deeply. There are verious opinions like, "OSPO is pilot guide for organization's OSS journey", "The role of OSPO is to make the relationship with OSS better aligned with the direction of the organization". Then we conclude "OSPO ’ s role is to understand the changes in business practices caused by OSS and to help the company adapt to the ever-changing environment".
