fix a bug in ratelimit, if the "begin" doesn't update at the same time with printed, the print will start from 1 in loops except for the first time, lets to only 9 logs suppressed, but not 10 as expected.

ammarfaizi2 pushed a commit to ammarfaizi2/linux-fork that referenced this pull request Oct 26, 2022
commit 1727fd5 upstream.

Current code produces a warning as shown below when total characters
in the constituent block device names plus the slashes exceeds 200.
snprintf() returns the number of characters generated from the given
input, which could cause the expression “200 – len” to wrap around
to a large positive number. Fix this by using scnprintf() instead,
which returns the actual number of characters written into the buffer.

ammarfaizi2 pushed a commit to ammarfaizi2/linux-fork that referenced this pull request Oct 26, 2022
commit 1727fd5 upstream.

The toplogy update is performed by the AP via smp_callin() after the BSP
has called do_wait_cpu_initialized(), setting the AP's bit in
cpu_callout_mask to allow it to proceed.

In preparation to enable further parallelism of AP bringup, add locking to
serialize the update even if multiple APs are (in future) permitted to
proceed through the next stages of bringup in parallel.

Without such ordering (and with that future extra parallelism), confusion
ensues:

`fs_kfuncs.c`'s `test_xattr` would fail the test even when the
filesystem did not support xattr, for instance when /tmp is mounted as
tmpfs.

This change checks errno when setxattr fail. If the failure is due to
the operation being unsupported, we will skip the test (just like we
would if verity was not enabled on the FS.

Before the change, fs_kfuncs test would fail in test_axattr:

`fs_kfuncs.c`'s `test_xattr` would fail the test even when the
filesystem did not support xattr, for instance when /tmp is mounted as
tmpfs.

This change checks errno when setxattr fail. If the failure is due to
the operation being unsupported, we will skip the test (just like we
would if verity was not enabled on the FS.

Before the change, fs_kfuncs test would fail in test_axattr:

As of 5ec8e8e(mm/sparsemem: fix race in accessing memory_section->usage) KMSAN
now calls into RCU tree code during kmsan_get_metadata. This will trigger a
write that will reenter into KMSAN getting the system stuck doing infinite
recursion.

Lockdep detects a possible deadlock as listed below. This is because it
detects the IA55 interrupt controller .irq_eoi() API is called from
interrupt context while configuration-specific API (e.g., .irq_enable())
could be called from process context on resume path (by calling
rzg2l_gpio_irq_restore()). To avoid this, protect the call of
rzg2l_gpio_irq_enable() with spin_lock_irqsave()/spin_unlock_irqrestore().
With this the same approach that is available in __setup_irq() is mimicked
to pinctrl IRQ resume function.

Below is the lockdep report:
