Steps to reproduce

  1. Receive a message from another user from a thread
  2. See the unread badge appear

Outcome

What did you expect?

The thread with an unread message should show a marker next to it, in the form of a dot

What happened instead?

It sometimes doesn't. In this screenshot, the topmost message should show the marker.
