Steps to reproduce

  1. Set iOS as light theme, Element as dark or dark theme;
  2. Go back to any position in the Element.

Outcome

What did you expect?

Even if the iOS theme is light and the Element is dark or black, the status bar should respond appropriately to the current interface color.

What happened instead?

As shown, the status bar is still black when the Element has a dark or black theme.

@YamatoRyou, do you see this occuring on all screens? The only place I can reproduce this is the home screen. I've tried iOS 14.5 and 15.5, neither shows the issue on the settings screen like your screenshot shows 😕

I have opened a fix for the home tab at #6506.

I have opened a fix for the home tab at #6506.

It can be reproduced in the following locations (iOS 14.0.1):

  • Main screen;
  • Settings;
  • Settings -> Security;
  • Settings -> Default Notifications & Mentions & Keywords & Others (A new problem has arisen here. This screen appears in light colors under the dark theme. See image below);
  • Conversation bubble interface.

P.S.: This is a phone used for testing, it has been jailbroken and will not upgrade iOS at this stage.

Can I just check which version of Element you are using and if it is the App Store build? This issue was fixed in v1.8.21 🤔

Ok thanks for following up. I'm going to mark this as cannot reproduce as it seems it could be linked to iOS 14.0.1.
