Responsiveness should be our N.1 identifying factor.

• The app should avoid full-screen loading screens and prefer background tasks notified discretely to the user
• "local echo" after a user action we provide immediate feedback and update/revert later if something happened
• we should fetch cached data first to render lists of rooms and conversations fast.
