Allow application/x-font-ttf as valid CoreMediaType #667
Comments
My understanding is that an OpenType font with TrueType outlines can be correctly described with application/font-sfnt. Is there an example where an EPUB Reading System would distinguish these two media types, and alter its behavior based on which one it found? |
Let me retry my failed previous comment. If support is already covered by application/font-sfnt and css fallbacks should mean no warning if the proposed media type is used, is this an issue that needs fixing? It looks like it was closed in epubcheck on these proposals, so I'd say we close here. |
Because of this issue w3c/epub-specs#667 fixes #63

application/x-font-ttf
as a CoreMediaType as well (refs #443)This came to my mind when reading the changelog and seeing #443, I had to think about w3c/epubcheck#586:
There are OpenType fonts with TrueType outlines for whoch the mediatype
