Integrate with HTML

There's a lack of clarity how these features integrate with the event loop (and its rendering steps). E.g., one thing that is unclear is how canvas ends up generating frames ("canvas is painted" is not an existing concept). As things stand in HTML that aspect isn't directly observable from script.
