I was trying to install kikit using pipx, which basically creates a venv, installs the app and all deps into it and then creates a link in a directory in the user's $PATH. But now I get the message, that no backend was found when opening the PCB editor in KiCad. I wonder if there's a simple/easy way of getting this to work? Or are there some limitations to this installation method that wouldn't make sense to use it this way?

When you install KiKit in venv, KiCAD can't see it. At the moment, I don't know if there is a way to tell KiCAD to load python modules from venv. |
